Spring is typically the strongest season for new home sales, with builders historically making about 37% of their annual sales between February and May (2012–2019 average). This period usually brings more potential buyers, stronger pricing power (the ability to charge higher prices without losing sales), and increased sales momentum. However, in 2025, many builders aren’t seeing this typical spring boost, driving them to offer more incentives to generate traffic and sales.
